Jerry Preator

I still get excited when I watch the water blend my colors...it’s still like magic to me to take a blank piece of paper, and a couple of hours later, I have created a picture out of my head, something that has never existed before. Creativity is so exciting and rewarding! I was the Arts Director for Better Homes and Gardens magazine and was responsible for color printing for all 128 magazines printed by Better Homes and Gardens. I graduated from The Kansas City Art Institute. I have had one-man shows in a variety of places and have sold watercolors to people throughout the world. I have a studio with 400 paintings and a new gallery with over 100. I have been painting watercolor for over 60 years and teaching for 58. I love teaching people who have never painted before! They become so excited about what they can do… They see color and scenery differently. It is very rewarding.
