Ronald Ufkes

It seems to me that I have worked with wood almost forever. I can remember my father and me cutting firewood with a crosscut saw. Later, while building furniture for my own family, I used a lathe to make some table legs and became addicted. While my passion and inspiration for my craft come primarily from the wood itself; I also “need” lots of toys to help make it more enjoyable. I can usually be found in my shop (which is a real mess) working on the lathe or honing my skill at pyrography (woodburning).  I participate in several local craft shows and my work is displayed at The Galleries at Library Square, a part of the Central Arkansas Library System in the River Market district of downtown Little Rock.
