Joseph Jostes

I began my journey in clay in 1980.  I consider myself a production potter producing traditionally inspired work.  I am currently focusing on mocha ware and salt-glazed stoneware.
With every piece, my goal is to combine aesthetics, craftsmanship, and function.
My work has been featured in House Beautiful, Veranda, Early American Home, and most recently in Garden and Gun magazine in 2022, as well as in the Worthpoint Blog.
Working for 34 years with my wife, Susan Skinner, offering me loving support has kept me from wandering off in circles and helps keep me focused.
